Pick-Your-Own Persimmons
Experience the pleasure of harvesting your own sweet, crunchy Fuyu persimmons at Aviani Persimmon Farm, located in the scenic Hills District of Sydney. Our "Pick Your Own" (PYO) sessions offer a delightful outdoor activity for families, friends, and groups.
Season Duration
Our PYO persimmon sessions typically begin in late April and continue for 4-6 weeks, depending on the crop yield. Bookings will open approximately one week before the first session.
Session Details
Duration: Each session lasts between 60 to 90 minutes and starts promptly at the scheduled time. You can depart as soon as you have finished.
Activities: Sessions begin with an informative talk about persimmon varieties and the farm's history, followed by guidance on selecting the best fruit. A short, guided walk over grassy terrain leads to the picking area; the path is pram and stroller-friendly. You are allowed to eat one piece of fruit while picking. All remaining picked fruit must be paid for.
Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes before your session to check in and prepare for the tour.
Pricing
Entry Fees:
Adults: $10
Children (3-12 years): $7
Children under 3: Free
Inclusions: Entry fees cover the hire of professional fruit-picking snips (feel free to bring your own if preferred).
Picked Fruit: Priced at current market rates.
Payment Methods: We accept cash, all major credit cards, and bank transfers.
Group and Mini-Bus Bookings
We welcome mini-bus bookings and community groups. Please contact Sarah on 0493 702 541 to arrange your picking session.
Weekday Sessions
For weekday PYO sessions not listed on our schedule, please call Sarah at 0493 702 541. A minimum of 10 adults is required to confirm a session. We'll notify you by 8 am on the day of the session if it needs to be postponed due to insufficient numbers.

Reusable carry bags for your persimmons
A hat and sunscreen
Sturdy, enclosed shoes with good grip

Facilities:
Please note, there are no public toilets on-site. The nearest facilities are a two-minute drive away, located near Liquorland/Aldi or behind Galston Library.
Weather Policy:
Sessions proceed in light rain. In cases of lightning or heavy rain, sessions may be cancelled, and you'll have the option to reschedule.
Parking:
Ample parking is available near the house in a designated area for PYO visitors. Follow the "PYO Parking" signs. Please avoid parking in the packing shed area.
Booking Information
📢 Bookings are essential as there is high demand, especially on weekends and public holidays, and there are limited spots per session. The online booking engine will be visible on this page in mid-April. Payment is made upon arrival at the farm. Your booking will be confirmed via email and then by SMS 1–2 days before your session.
